The concept of this book “Prayer First,” is taken from the examples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. The biblical text is taken from I Timothy 2:1. When you look at the life of Jesus, you find He was a Man of prayer. As He started His ministry, the first thing he did, after being baptized, was to pray (Luke 3:21). His entire life was surrounded by prayer.

We learn the principle of “Prayer First” not only in the life of Jesus and Paul, but in I Timothy 2:1, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” “First of all” means of primary importance, or utmost importance; therefore, it should be our top priority.
